Whereas the display of fireworks continues the American Tradition of watching fireworks over the Hudson River by embracing it with the Indian Festival of Diwali. This inspires conversations led by Indian Americans regarding Diwali with their neighbors, colleagues, and friends of different backgrounds across the United States.

All American Diwali 2022
The South Asian Engagement Foundation along with the Durst Organization displayed Diwali-themed animation on the façade of the One World Center, a symbol of New York City’s eternal goodness. The animation occurred nightly 6:30pm – 2 am from Oct 22 through Oct 24
On Oct 22 the New York Police Department (NYPD) performed the ceremonial color guard in honor of the festival. The community gathered outside and also said a prayer for peace, harmony, and prosperity in the country. The prayer was led by Pandit Ram Hardowarji of the Shree Suryanarayan Mandir in Queens, NY.
The NYPD Desi Society, Punjabi Chamber of commerce, Hindu American Foundation, Sewa Diwali, and Hindu Mandir Executive’s Conference an initiative of Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America supported the event.
All American Diwali 2021
New Jersey-based crypto exchange company CrossTower tied up with the South Asian Engagement Foundation for the first ever ‘All American Diwali’ at the iconic World Trade Centre in New York City. The three-day Diwali celebration was held from November 2 through November 4 showcasing custom-made, culturally sensitive animated murals on the iconic multistoried platform of the WTC Podium.
For the inaugural event on November 3rd, American and Hollywood Singer/Actress Mary streamed her live performance, the event was followed by an epic fireworks display over the Hudson River.
